A human created wetlands at the bottom of Royal Park, Parkville. It was developed in 2006/07 by Melbourne City Council to capture, treat and provide water for irrigation of its sporting fields, street trees, and washing. Apparently there are large underground storage tanks beneath the sports fields but I could not see these. It serves as a model for urban water treatment.
