I weaved that!

It’s not for everyone. But if you think you like the idea, the Houey Hong Vocational Training Centre for Women hosts weaving and dying trials. I thought it was fabulous fun and want to go back (pity Yori who will get dragged along). Another young woman there was on her third day. She still didn’t quite end up with enough for a proper scarf!

It took me on average an hour to weave each ‘row’ or ‘flower’! So after a full day I had about 3 inches - enough for a coaster, maybe. I got really good at going backwards to fix mistakes. We found it quite hard to chat because it required so much attention.

Tip: bring an ipod.
